Stamford On The Sound
I want to thank the 1,000 plus people who attended the inaugural Stamford on the Sound event on Saturday evening, June 18, 2011, at Commons Park at Harbor Point. The event was done in partnership with the City of Stamford, Bobby Valentine, BLT/Harbor Point, the Japanese American Association of New York and the Stamford Chamber of Commerce. The event raised over $700,000 to benefit the Japanese disaster relief efforts for the earthquake and the ensuing tsunami.
The Stamford on the Sound event could not have happened without the generous support of corporate, business and individual sponsors and donors, as well as the many volunteers who gave of their personal time. Everyone played an integral role in bringing the event to life and these collective efforts paid off. Stamford on the Sound was more successful than any of us could have imagined.
Stamford is not only a city that works, but Stamford on the Sound proved it is also a city with a big heart.
Check back on this site for additional information as events will be scheduled.
Thank You!
